The Problem

In Mumbai, at the heart of the COVID 19 outbreak in India…

Sana (name changed) is a 12 yr old girl from the slums of Rafiq nagar in Mumbai. Daughter of a carpenter and maid, she is a first generation learner who planned to extract her family out of poverty by making the most out of her education. She wakes at 5:30 AM to help her mother fill water, cook breakfast and lunch, and sweep the home before rushing off to school. The teachers from the community believe in her potential and try their best to lend support with food rations and stationery. They know that Sana will in turn look out for others, and rightly so, Sana tutors other children in her colony.

Children like Sana are not rare... They uplift their community along with their struggles and success. Advocate Saif Alam & his team works directly with 300 of them.

However, with the onset of COVID, schools and libraries have shut. Despite their motivation and best efforts, These children just do not have access to learning materials. Their ambitions have been put on hold, all because they do not have access to any digital device.

These students are the pillars of the community and have gone the extra mile enabling others with their motivation. They are now helpless when it comes to learning or helping others learn without technology. Even post the lockdown, social distancing is just not possible in dense under-resourced communities. To put things into perspective, 50 children will be expected to sit in a school classroom meant for 20. We need to provide them with digital tablets to increase their access to education.

*Child rights and education are inseparable from each other. Closed schools mean that children are more vulnerable to abuse at home, suffer from malnourishment, and lose out on valuable months of stimulation.

Solution

Bring the classrooms to these 300 student leaders. Provide them with digital tablets loaded with content.

Advocate Saif Alam & his team will ensure that Ranjani and her 299 exceptional friends will use these digital tablets fruitfully. Each tab will help 5 children learn.

1] We shall load the tablets with high quality content

2] Work closely with the student leaders and help them complete their curriculum

3] Work with schools to set up mini classrooms (with 5 children) within the community and conduct classes via zoom/hangouts

4] Help motivated students teach their peers

Advocate Saif Alam & his team has been working with the children, schools and community members in this geography for the past three years and are sensitive to the needs of their local and nuanced needs. We are fully aware that a piece meal intervention such as simply delivering the tabs will not be enough to create the desired impact and hence will follow though all the way.

Impact

300 Students will get this E-learning Education.

We are going to directly empower 300 student leaders to lead the education revolution in their community with technology for over 1500 students. They will be able to continue studying and helping others study along with them.

Ample research shows that all it takes is one member to be educated to pull an entire family out of poverty.

$7 or Rs 500 = Internet access for 5 students

$45 or Rs 3,000 = Towards a digital tablet

$160 or Rs 12,000 = An entire digital tablet for 4 students

Talash khudki.

Khudki hai talash mujhko,
Na jaan paya hu mei khudko,
Zindagi ki yeh daastayen haseen hai,
Fir bhi garibo k liye batareen hai,
Khudki hi talash hai,
Isme jaan nahi Zinda lash hai,
Garibko ko ilaj Karna hai pr Paise nahi,
Ameero ko sath hu, par unke jaise nahi,
Khayal hai mere nekh aur yakeen mere sath,
Bitaye hai adhure sapne Wali humne Woh raath,
Pehchanta hu mei un darindo ka irada,
Bas farq hai ki apne bhi kamine hai unze Zyada,
Ghamand Na karta yeh apni likhayi pr Aise yeh Kala hai,
Khudh ki jwala Mei Aaj yeh jala hai,
Talash hai khudki, mujhko.
Na jaan paya Mei na khudko.
Kitney darwaze thoke hai madad k,
   Pr mila na koi jawab,
Sawal puchne khade hogaye log Aaj,
Kaam rahe Toh Yaad Kare yeh hai inka tarika,
Khus naseeb hai woh Jinhone jee liye yeh salikha,
Kala hai mere paas fir bhi Kaam ki talash hai,
Zindagi Zinda dili ka naam, pr Mere yeh lash hai
Sochta hu Kal ayege din mere sukoon k,
Jab likhuga mere kahani mere is khun se,
Talash hai mujko khudki,
Na jan paya Mei khudko.

As dirty as Indian politics.

This is real vote share, what you are seeing  is again propaganda of dirty trick dept of BJP - who disseminates such wrong things for opposition to fall prey to it and then being laughed at by Bhakts, let's dont forward such things.

BJP {39.7%,344030…
BSP {22.2%,192813…
SP {21.8%,18923689}
INC {6.2%,5416324}
IND {2.6%,2229448}
RLD {1.8%,1545810}
[3/13, 1:24 PM] ‪+91 98690 07523‬: How Modi couldn't win Bihar but swept UP ?

Simple
Bihar:
In general election Modi got 34% vote in Bihar. Citing defeat after seeing at the vote share of NDA.. Nitish managed to create  Mahagathbandhan and fought assembly election
Result Modi (NDA)got 32%(2% less)  Mahaghathbanadhan got 46% and won land slide.

Uthar Pradesh :
Modi got 43% in general election
SP and BSP didn't learn any lesson from Bihar... fought independently. (Congress got just 8% in general election)
Modi got 40% (3% less) and  swept the assembly election.
SP got 22% BSP got 22%. Congress got 6%. Total 50%
With 50% votes they (SP BSP and INC) could've swept UP like Bihar.
AIMIM successfully split couple of winning seats of SP and BSP... but it's just an aberration.

The blatant leader.

In just around 2 years and six months, Modi has become all powerful. He has no challenger in his Cabinet. He has no challenger in his party.

Almost all big media houses are either his willing partner or scared to highlight his failures.  Supreme Court too is unwilling to allow an investigation into allegations against him.

Country's top financial regulator RBI follows his instructions. He hasn't bothered to appoint anti-corruption watchdog Lokpal. He doesn't speak in Parliament. He ignores seniority to appoint Army chief of his choice.

Basically, he does whatever he likes, whatever he wants. In a flash, he forced tens of millions of people to beg for their own money. He is the most powerful man in the sub-continent.
Well done.

Where is the development, when we are in a debt?

Current debt Increasing on
Every Indian Citizen :
In 2009-10 it was Rs 30,200;

In 2015-19 it is Rs 53,800.

Do you think India can pay back in near future at this rate of corruption and maladministration ?

PM invades the peaceful sleep of common man and declares it as a surgical strike on black money holders.

Dear PM, I am not a fan. A better description would be ant-bhakt. I find myself reacting to every move you make with suspicion, always looking for the ulterior motive. Sadly, I usually find one. Like, for example, the upcoming UP elections.

But, here, I am going to stick my neck out. I'm going to tell you that I believe you REALLY do want to get rid of the black economy and that your current initiative was simply the result of poor advise given to you by that clown you call your FM.

You should really explain to him that the informal and black economy are two different things. The former is a critical and integral part of the economy, and your move has crippled it. But that's for a different time.

Your fans and bhakts hail your "masterstroke". You are the lohpurush. So, I'm going to give you some ideas which could give you a real opportunity to actually demonstrate that you have nuts of steel. If you really, really wish to show black money the white light of goodness, here are some things you could do (which would get you there WITHOUT causing misery to the under-classes and under-privileged) :

1) Create specific, strong and inflexible rules to drive political funding away from the darkness to the white zone.
2) Disclose BJP funding to the last decimal point on your website.
3) You have the Swiss Banks account holder list. Do something about it.
4) You have the Mossack Fonseca account holder list that Wikileaks put out. Do something about it.
5) There is a list of large NPA business groups. Let’s see the government going after them, auctioning their assets, throwing those who are criminals into jail. (We all know who they are, don't we now?)
6) Over the next 6 months, nail at least 5 corrupt bureaucrats and jail them
7) Clean up the ITO.
8) Clean up the Excise department. Modify the Excise (and other relevant laws) laws so the inspectors can’t hold the factory owners hostage.
9) Either lock down the liquor trade in Gujarat, or lift prohibition. You and I both know any and every kind of booze is available in A’bad. Remember that charity, and chastity, begins at home.
10) Work with the State Governments to raise circle rates for real estate all across the country. It’s the cleanest, simplest way to rid the No. 1 destination and source of black money of the malaise.

If you can’t show concrete progress on the above, with visible results in 12 months, come back on national television and apologise profusely, sincerely and completely to those you have caused infinite misery to with the demonetisation.

If you do, I promise that I won’t rail against your economic stance anymore. Oh yes, the nation will also be truly grateful.

Yours truly.

Failure,bit by bit.

Life is unjust as you think, when every passing day it gives another googly.
Most of us give up,quitting without making an effort but some times failing is also essential to know where are you falling down,a slumber is mandatory.
In my 22 years of education,I haven't seen a word like 'Detained' in my results, but it was astounding to see something like that when my results were announced later this month. It was an attack on the adjudication of law itself when you see 'bribery' and blatant corrections in the stream of law itself.
Mumbai university is popularly know for it's best services since a century and half in the field of education but since two decades there has been continuous scams which rocks the university every year from a paan shopkeeper selling engineering degrees to a politician sons writing exams sitting at home. And most corrupt members in the university itself take bribe to change the results of the students who are failing.
I'm not a failure cos I wasn't at My best I failed because I stood against wrong before I got the degree of the Noblest profession.
University has targeted me,and nobody stood with me to support and file a case against Mumbai university.
*We belong to a society which doesn't stand against injustice, until it hits them too*
